24 year old woman arrested after speeding 22 times -- in 45 days...

I'd still be curious to know just how badly she was speeding during each of those infractions. The article mentions that the highest speed measured was 92mph, but doesn't state what the speed limit of the road was, nor what the other 21 recordings were.

I'm thinking spoiled princess?

I glanced quickly and thought that you said she was a "soiled" princess. 😀

Anyway, are these cameras just there for looks? It states that she was caught 22 times but doesn't mention that she was ever issued a ticket. I do see where it says that the record holder for speeding tickets just threw hers away...but it never says that the subject of this story ever got a single ticket.

Honestly how many times do you people speed?

If they had cameras on the loop in Lubbock or Dallas-Fort Worth, Id probably get a lot of tickets too.

And Ive never been pulled over for a speeding ticket.

The speed limit is 65. It is supposed to ticket at 76+.

However in previous instances the system has been off by as much as 10mph.

Thanks for the info. I wouldn't have as much of a problem with an 11+mph threshold, but if it's off by as much as 10mph, I'd be pretty upset if I got a ticket for going 66 in a 65.

Well in her defense if she didn't know she had gotten the tickets, why would she change? but assuming she got 10 tickets in the mail after a month and continued to speed, then she's an idiot.

No doubt most of us would; I would, but I wouldn't get nailed for doing 92. What's strange is that she says she didn't know the cameras were there. Had she not received any of the tickets yet?

Right - if she hasn't received notification of the earlier tickets, there would be no feedback to encourage her to slow it down a bit.

If there was camera enforcement on the roads i travel I'd get a ticket too... I mean i'd imagine most of drive ~75-80 when its 11 pm and there's no one on the roads
