anyone ever used a 24v? I have a massive 120mmx38mm fan I want to try. 105 cfm but it pulls .18A.. is this too much for my 300W ps?

I don't know where you're going to plug in your 24V fan.

Your lil 4 pin connectors only supply 12V and 5V.

Gonna get ambitious and try to take it apart??

I think you're better off with a separate power supply.

BTW- 18A * 24V = 432W
I seriously doubt this fan ever pulls *quite* that much juice. That's a bit more than the average refrigerator.

errrr- did you say 18A or 0.18A?

If it's 0.18A, then you're only pulling about 43W which is barely more than a fast harddrive and it should work on your system.

Again, you only get 12V out of the power connectors...

Running it at 12V might work but it'll be much slower and draw about half to 2/3 the power
