24" Soyo Topaz is flickering.

Unless you can fix it yourself / on the cheap, I'd take this opportunity to upgrade to a nice 27" Shimian or the like. I just ordered one yesterday from BigClothCraft on ebay for $299.00 shipped. (tempered glass version).

the only reason to do so would be the near zero input lag of the Soyo.

I had one of these for years but it was stolen, I miss the <6ms input lag so much. Agree that it's worth saving just for that.

I would happily pay the shipping charge for any dead monitor's of these type that you just aren't interested in fixing yourself. Probably would only be able to have one or possibly two a week shipped due to lack of fundage.

Ummm just to clarify... or maybe rephrase or finish what I was saying however you want to put it. I would also pay for these monitors. Not going to be a jerk and not give you something in return besides space for a new monitor.

Have any of you had to change the power supply yet? That was the main issue with mine, but aside from that, it's been kickin for 5 years now.

The burn in is really bad, there are dark splotches all over the screen, and it's not image persistence either where I left an image on there too long. It's just random splotches that has nothing to do with what I had on the screen.

I don't have any flickering, but image retention, just like some sort of plasma tv. For example after playing Civilization V for 4-5 hours the top menu bar remains imprinted for about a week on top of everything else. Other than that it works fine. The image does go away after a while if the same stuff is not used over and over in the same place on the screen for many hours.
