last night my GF came over after she got off work around 11pm. i told her i had this new season and asked her if she wanted to start watching it. she had no clue what it was like or what the show even was. i personally never watched ANY of the seasons of 24, but my bro did and told me it was good and has season 3. so i borrowed it from him.

man am i hooked on this! the ONLY thing that sucks about the show that makes me mad is that in the show, you hear them talk about " we've got to do this in a few hours" or something like that, but in reality, that means a few episodes down the road it will happen. for instance, in episode 2 (2pm - 3pm), the boy with the bag of coke (what he thinks is coke) is going to meet the drug dealer at 7:30 ... thats like 4 episodes away! and i wanted to really see that part too heh but i couldnt!

well anyways, i REALLY liked the show and watched the first 2 episodes, and after the first 2 my gf was like "how many more episodes are there, can we finish it tonight?" ... keeping in mind this was at like 12:30 heh. i was like "well there are 24 episodes, so i DOUBT we will finish it tonight :p" and she was like "damn this show is aweesome, i want to know what happens next!!!"

so tonight, i know what im going to be watching when I get of work :)

and please, keep this spoiler free.

Funny you started this thread. I am thinking about taking Elisha out of my sig since she won't be primetime anymore for season 4... :(

And they did a good job of spacing out the eps with perfect timing. I can't even begin to imagine the headaches it would cause me to do all that... 43 minutes of filming for every hour X 24. Oh yeah, and the story has to make sense. My head hurts.

not at all... her not being in season 4 much had to do with "fresh blood" for the show. She's among a long list. Don't know why exactly...

season three was a very fun watch. i'm impatient so i can't wait for the dvds to come out. than again, i hate watching week by week waiting to see what happens

enjoy the show. also, watching season 1 and 2 first really makes season 3 better because you get to know the ppl more. my roommate has seen seasons 1-3 in a month. he's ready for season 4 now!

If you are enjoying season 3, you really need to pick up season 1. I would try and watch it before you get too far into season 3. There are events in season 3 that will spoil season 1.

Wow, I didn't even realize that there's been 3 seasons of 24. I barely remember much of season 2. Looking forward to season 4 tho'.

He's right, though. There's stuff in s3 that ruins the biggest plot twist in s1.

and you have Kim running around in the first 2 seasons instead of being behind a desk all season long for 3. :)

What about Blockbuster or something? Netflix sends out single discs AFAIK, Blockbuster might rent single discs.

Watching season 3 will be enjoyable, but it will be a lot better if you've watched the first two seasons first, especially the first.

i have to agree with everyone else. I highly recommend that you STOP watching season 3 NOW. and go back for seasons one and two. I just finished watching thru season one for the second time yesterday, and you're gonna completely ruin the first season if you get too far into season 3.

I absolutely love 24, and stopping in the middle of the season is gonna be really hard to do. But believe me, seasons one and two are just as good as season three. so once you get started on them you'll get caught up in those stories just like you have with season 3.

Wow, thanks for prompting me to visit the Fox web site to find out that the new season starts January 9th @ 8PM PST/7C. Damn, I was starting to wonder if one of my favorite shows had been cancelled....

For all you diehard 24 fans that watch the episodes when they air - have you watched any of the seasons again, once they came out on DVD? There's some good deals going around on the DVD sets, but, while I love the show, I really don't know if I'd want to sit and watch a whole season a 2nd time around, or a 3rd time.

exactly my feeling. I just have no urge to re-watch the episodes. The re-play value isn't there at all for me.

Surely you can afford $15 for 24 Season 1...

You seriously need to watch S1 before S3..and while you're at it, watch S2 too :p

24 is the best damn show ever, and honestly out of the 3 seasons out, season 3 is the bottom one, but if you like season 3 that much (i didn't get hooked on season 3 until halfway through the season), you honestly have to check out season 1 and 2 just like the other guys have told you. patience is a virtue, your mind will be blown away!

if you can't afford buying the dvd set, then rent it. it is definitely worth it! i bet you can finish season 1 and 2 before you have to return the dvd for renting it! i used to watch 6-10 episodes a day! i would've watched more but i wanted to save some episodes for the remaining week! i'm telling you, you will be GLUED to your tv and dvd when you watch season 1 and 2. however be warned that elishas character will piss you the f*** off! i'm glad they dropped her character!.....she's not even hot! i dont know how ppl can think she's hot...she's just a big boned (big overall , especially her nose) girl

anyway, s1 is the best season of all. s2 was good, and s3 was ok... i hope s4 doesn't suck. that's all. :)

season 3 came out on dvd on december 7. season 4 starts airing on january 9 on fox -- 2 hour premiere, and then on jan 10, the third hour is aired.

no breaks this time (e.g. missed mondays -- this year, it's being aired on MONDAY night. take note). that's why they started in jan.

yes, i am a huge 24 fan.

did you know that the sean calloway soundtrack came out for the first 3 seasons of 24 on december 7 as well? :)

on top of that, give it a few months.

if you watch it on dvd, and you have a few days to spare, you'd finish it in 3 days.

of course, i don't have a few days to spare anymore, but when i did, i finished watching the dvds of seasons 1 and 2 in about a week's time.
