24 pin not long enough, new PSU

The placement of the 24 pin coming out of the PSU is different than my current PSU causing it to be too short to comfortably attach the cable to the motherboard. Same goes with the 8 pin CPU cables. I can manage the 8 pins with some sub optimal routing but the 24 pin I am not going to bend and abuse. I already have two 8 pin extension connectors and am thinking about one for the 24 pin. How do extension cable effect the overclocking of the CPU?

Thanks

Extension cables should have no effect on anything, that I'm aware of. It's the PSU that determines power quality and stability, and it should remain the same whether the amps pass though an extension cable or not.
