24 - opps started with season 4

I have only watched the first DVD of season four, so that is 7 to 11 AM.
Should I go ahead and finish the 24 hours, of season 4, or go back and start the series with episode 1?
 
I'd recommend watching them in order if at all possible. Later seasons will sometimes spoil earlier seasons for you (if you haven't seen them yet).

Start with Season 1 so you can see the steady decline in quality. (although I thought S4 was by far better than anything yet, including 5)
 
S4 was really good. I liked S1 as well, but Jack's wife was so damn annoying! I can't stand watching her.

Anyway, as everyone stated, watch them in order. All the seasons are good though. You'll be wanted to watch the next episode after each one you watch.

Right, so right now in season 4, Jack has been stopped at the roadblock, and the secretary of defense is about to be tried for war crimes by the terrorists. It might be too darn hard to not find out what happens. If I can get season 1, episodes 1 to 4, I will.
 
I'd suggest starting at the beginning. I just started watching the series and I think things would make more sense if you saw the beginning. So far, I'm up to season 3 and like that one the most.
 
Need more info., thanks for folks who have posted so far.
It sounds to me liek folks think I really should start with season one, if I can.
The local BlockBuster is out of seaon one right now, so I may have to live with watching season 4 first.
