I wonder how a 24 movie would work? Would he only have 2 hours (realtime) to "win", or would they abandon the realtime gimmick to compress a 24 hour day into 2 hours?

I saw that interview too, and I think that intervew was done a few months ago. Because they also don't mention the new seasons they have been contracted for (3) - so I'm not sure.

I bet they would still have the numbers, but skip through a few hours occasionally with flashing digits.

That would mean they could have significant lengths of time when nothing happens, which might actually be a good thing - like Jack catches a plane to another country and it skips through the journey.

I think a movie would be weird. If it's realtime, it'll feel like watching 2 or 3 episodes in one sitting which is easily done. If it isn't realtime, it won't feel much like 24 (although the new season redefines "ludicrous amount of stuff you can squeeze into an episode" anyway.

Hah, that would be great for Fox, but would piss off fans.

I've never been a fan of movies based on TV shows, especially TV shows that are 1 hour dramas that are as well-done as movies to begin with (note: I've only ever watched one episode of 24). You're paying for barely more content than they give you for free on TV in one sitting.

Even better, first 18 hours on TV, 19-20 Movie Part 1, 21-22 Movie Part 2, 23-24 Finale on TV. Milk it for all it's worth.

none of this final on movie crap....I NEED MY 24, and IF YOU DRAG A SINGLE DAY INTO 3 MOVIES I'll not go...(I'll wait for the DVD, like I usually do with the season, since if you miss more then about 10 minutes, you are screwed)

First 1-1.5 hours Jack is running around doing his thing. The next 21-22 hours Jack is knocked unconscious. The last 1-1.5 hours Jack wakes up and runs around doing his thing. Easy.

That or they rename the movie "2.26" or something, or "156" and is referring to minutes instead of hours this time. He doesn't alway have to have 24 hours...
