24" LCD Monitor with gloss screen around $250

Hi All,

I'm in the market for a new 24" LCD monitor around 250 bucks. I MUCH prefer a high gloss screen vs matte; no issues with relfection as I use my PC for gaming and its in a pitch black dark room. The gloss screens in my opionion do a better job of showing vivid colors over a matte screen. My problem is that every time I try searching for a gloss screen I keep thinking Iv'e found one only to realize its the dame bezel thats glossy, not the screen itself! Can any of you help me find a good gaming 24" gloss screen LCD? I like the below models based on reviews, but am not clear on which ones have a glossy screen, if any?

If you want vivid colors you should be shopping by panel type instead. I'd recommend that you focus on ips and s-pva panels and forget about gloss. Dell has great monitors and some are always on sale plus their warranty can't be beat.

The VW246H is a matte screen.

Thanks for the replies! I ended up seeing the HP2509m in a store.... and it was all over then. mmmmm.....glossy.
