24 inch Budget monitors

I'm looking for a monitor and the last monitor i bought was 7 years ago, so i don't know much about current models. The 1920x1080, 24 inchers seem to have the best value proposition. I'm looking at price ranges from 150 to 250/80~ euro. But i'm not sure what the major differences would be between a 150 and a 280 monitor and if it is worth the price?

What brands and models would be the best bang for buck in this price range?
TN, VA or IPS (for light gaming)?

Well, after some contemplation i think i will go with a BenQ GL2450HT 24. With good response time and height adjustment, it also seems to have this flicker-free thing, which none of the other monitors in this price range have (coupled with height adjustment).

Light gaming and budget friendly,i don't think there is anything better then a IPS panel and this one here despite being a 23'' is quite excellent....

Adjusted Euro conversion pretty much puts this under your budget by nearly 15 Euro.If i was going 1080p on budget,i would certainly jump on the above linked monitor.

Hey, thanks for the tip. I have already ordered the one i listed, but this would not have come to fruition anyway, since the no height/pivot/swivel stand would be a deal breaker for me (neck problems) and it doesn't seem to be available anywhere near me or in the major Europe amazon websites. And sending it from the states would be a plus 21% tax penalty.
