Hi,
I have been reading here a lot. As the title says, I been checking out a lot of options and finally I can't decide on which one to select.
It stands between LG W2442PA and Benq G2411HD.
Benq G2411HD (from PRAD)
* Good image quality, brightness, color accurate
* Only average or lower performance in scaling to non native resolution. I don't fully understand what they mean here ->
"However, the model demonstrates slight weaknesses in interpolation. Here, the image loses an above average amount of sharpness in non-native resolutions. In addition, justified display of resolutions is also scaled to the image formats 4:3, 5:4 and 16:10, but this is not always entirely correct."
* There is a low humming noise coming from the monitor.
* Input lag according to PRAD is good, but not proffessional gamer level. Personally it feels like a bit hard judgment. But the LG is better...so its probably fair...but it's still just one frame...hmm.

LG W2442PA (from PRAD)
* Silent....nice
* very low lag....nice
20% 16 ms
80 % 0 ms
average 3.2ms
* Satisfactory scaling....nice
* Banding issues!.....hmm
Benq at PRAD http://www.prad.de/en/monitore...part16.html#Conclusion
LG at PRAD http://www.prad.de/en/monitore...part14.html#Conclusion
It's the banding issue that makes me uncertain, otherwise I would directly go for the LG.
On the Benq, I guess it's the scaling and noise issue that concerns me.
Any thoughts, maybe some other model to check out? If I don't get any help here, I just have to flip a coin
Thanks
Peter.
