The Samsungs did destroy that setup. You couldn't do any better with SandForce drives, because the board was bottle-necked already.
They defragged with Ausalogics, which is a very fast tool. Obviously there's no need to defrag an SSD, but the video also shows it's a poor test for drive speed. They only had 50Gb on the drives, and out of 24,500 files, only 3 were "defragged". The program works that fast on my Caviar Black, under those circumstances.
