Aside from the issue (depending on your viewpoint) of you paying money so Glaxo can potentially make millions off your information you're reliant on those companies properly anonomizing or not sharing your personal details and having good IT security. I wouldn't count on any of that being the case

Yea when I signed up for my DNA test they gave you the option to allow your DNA results to be used for scientific research.

And from the article

23andMe patrons are asked if they want to participate in scientific research. The new agreement moves this consent firmly into the field of active drug discovery research.

I don't have a problem with it.
