23" Samsung SyncMaster 2343BWX - $199.99 AR ($40) + Shipping + Tax

@ Micro Center

I just bought this at Costco for $259.99 + tax so that's a huge price difference. Shipping is showing $17.10 for me, but in store pickup is available. As for the monitor, most spec sheets will show a height adjustable stand, but I think that's a slightly different model. This one only comes with tilt. The screen has an antiglare finish and the backlight bleed is mild. I'm coming from a Dell with really bad bleeding so the Samsung may or may not meet your tolerance. Enjoy!

This is my first or second deal post so provide some feedback if the title format or anything else could be better.

your title format is excellent

I bought a 2253LW (Samsung) from Costco in November. Picked up the Asus VH242H for $230 w free shipping ($30 more than the Samsung). Very happy with it. Of course, there is an Asus 25.5" for $300 the week after I bought mine. I returned my Samsung. I've read that accounts can be flagged if you return too many products at Costco. Was my first return and I don't know how many it would take for that (supposedly they prohibit you from returning more item for a length of time)

Hows the return policy for microcenter?

(dead/stuck pixels, backlight bleeding type complaints... - do they consider these as "defects"?)

Hmmm, interesting monitor. At first I saw the 2xxx pixels and thought OMG what high resolution. Then, I thought about it. Verticle is 48 pixels less than a "typical" 16:10 24" while horizontal is 128 pixels more, so a wash for desktop use. Since it is a 16:9 aspect ratio it sounds a good choice for video, but then why not get a 1920x1080 panel since full-screen will require scaling on this monitor?

Still, it is near 24" in size, so $200 sounds like a pretty sweet deal for that size.

According to the one in Madison Heights, MI, when I asked about TV's last week was told 5 or less dead pixels is considered 'Normal' and would have to go back to the manufacturer

Microcenter seems cool with return as long as it's not grossly abuse. You guys just need to watch out for Office Depot.
