Well just got a Apple 23" Cinema display for my game rig, but one thing I didn't consider was how the heck can you adjust the brightness, contrast, etc...?

Also someone showed me these drivers:

http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/winacd/WinACD-0.4.5.zip?download

Are these considered like THE drivers to use for this thing? I mean are there lots of different ones out there?

Becasuse I did find another place with drivers, so I just want to make sure I can find the best ones.

Apple doesn't make any offical drivers for this thing for Windows?

Also on another forum which is black in color when I used the Reply box to make a reply to a post and then when I was done and went back to the post to look at the "Reply" box had a image burned into the background of the post.

So I closed and resrtarted Firefox, but didn't see it anymore, unless I went back to that "reply" box and did the process all over again/

This thing isn't going to burn images into is it?

THANKS

Mine had a pink hue to it, very annoying. Otherwise a good panel.

LOL sorry InlineFour I hit enter and it loaded the page without typing anything. LOOK NOW. ;)

MS Dawn, mine is fine, just a few things, this burn in of the "Reply" image as I stated and adjusting it and drivers?

Ahh my bad I forgot about adjusting the brightness, contrast, etc.. In the drivers. Oh yeah and a BIG DUHHH, for forgetting the adjustements on the side of the monitor. ;)

To make this more clear for those who are not familar with the various Apple Cinema Displays:

The newer, Aluminum-skinned Cinema Displays have adjustment buttons on the side. These monitors have a single cable leaving the display, which splits into power, USB, and DVI cables. Works great on Macs, PCs, newer Suns, newer SGIs. No adapters required. Mac users can make adjustments in software, everyone else can just use the buttons on the side.

The older, White-Plastic-skinned Cinema Displays are only adjustable in software. These monitors have a single cable with an Apple Display Connector which carries power, USB, and DVI over a single connector. You either need to have a graphics card with an ADC connector or you need an expensive adapter and external power supply.

THANKS halfadder, yeah I was sleeping there, forgetting about the buttons on the side. ;) Plus with the WinACD drivers you can adjust or the Nvidia panel too.

Ok I installed the drivers, found out YES these are THE ONES. :)

By the way does the LED only come on when starting then goes out?

When I first turned it on, it lit up, then I noticed it was not lit up so I rebooted and then noticed around the time of the Welcome screen, either when rebooting or restarting it comes on for a second then goes out.

Is this normal, or becasuse I'm using Windows?

THANKS

Hey one last GOOFY thing a lot of the Windows I open always POP open to the left side of the screen instead of in the middle. :(

With some of the Windows I just go up to the top like to "File" -- Exit, then click exit and when I do that, wherever I closed the window at which of course is in the center of the screen, when I go to open it, it then appears in the middle.

But things like the "Computer Properties" or the "Display Properties" always keep popping up to the left, and it making me NUTTY to have to keep dragging them over to the middle of the screen all the time, LOL.

Is this going to be like the DOWNSIDE to using a BIG monitor?

THANKS
