I guess my question now is since my 8800 GTS is getting old what GPU that is out there right now would run FPS games and WoW at max settings with the resolution that this monitor puts out? If there is nothing worth upgrading to right now I can surely wait for DX11 cards.

1680 x 1050 resolution

260 216 or 48701GB, whatever you get a better deal on.

I wouldve gotten one of the ~$175 4890s, check the hot deals section. Also, I use 1680 as well and a 4890 isnt overkill.

About monitors and gpus.. I'm happy on 1680x1050 with a 8800gt but thinking about going to a 24" so I'm probably among the legions who will be happy with a single 4890 at 1920 (tho I'm waiting for the 5800 series).

I get the new card today so too late to switch to 4890 besides mine came with a game and a rebate 😛 this card should hold me over till I need a dx11 card.

I now have my new monitor and gpu and I must say the graphics never looked better!! This 120hz is pure joy everything looks super clear and fresh. It wasn't that hard to attach the stand like the reviews make it out to be it just takes some pressure and finess.

Nice! Enjoy the monitor and the card.

Hmm. So 120Hz is really worth it? I didn't realize that 120Hz (true 120Hz, not black frame insertion) were on the market yet. Oh well. I bought three KDS 26" 1920x1200 LCDs the other day, see the Hot Deals forum for more info. $250 + $26 shipping for two-day air.
