What gives? After a year of not being able to OC my 2200+ TB A finally gives in.
A7N8X, ti4200, Samsung 333. No changes, all the old parts.
I'm talkin' it wouldn't even go to a FSB of 269!
Then yesterday I figured what the hell,... one more shot (about time for an upgrade so nuthin' to lose, other than the fact it is the kids' gaming machine) so I set vcore to 1.80, FSB to 333, multi to 11, and mem at 2.5, 3, 3, 7..... 1.833MHz and it booted,.... hmmmmm
12 hours Prime95 stable,.... this morning I bumped a little more, multi to 11.5 1.916MHz !!!! So far over an hour stable with Prime95.
So not that I'm complaining but I am curious,...... WHY?
Thoughts?

Oh, and temps are 56 C. Not too bad.

The answer you're likely to receive is that the burn-in helped. I've never experienced any benefits from burn in myself, though some claim to have done, and if your system really is the same then it would seem that you've benefitted from it as well!

It is the same,... other than driver updates and such. It is now up to a stable 2.000MHz, may have to bump it up a little more in the morning.
