Yeah, I really hate the recent trend of stupid proprietary stands that won't allow VESA mount. A lot of 21-23" dell monitors are like that too, but at least for dells you can get a VESA adapter for around $20 even if it adds to the total price. With this monitor you can't even get an adapter.

Looks like they kept it thin by building the connectors into the stand...at the cost of VESA mountability. For those using a single monitor that want a thin panel, it's not a big deal. Especially at this price.
