Seems like a pointless endeavor. It screams "everything including the kitchen sink" consumer board. Price will be an interesting thing to see.

Too bad it's not 24 though, as most of the big storage cases have 24 bays. Would save from having to worry about any extra controller card. But can't complain about 22 that's for sure.

Come to think of it, I don't know why they don't make server boards with like 6+ SFF8087 connectors (equivalent to 4 sata). Trying to find non raid high port count sata cards is always a pain in the ass. Ended up using IBM cards off ebay for my server.
