Belinea is a well established brand here in Germany. Yes they do have "cheap" and "pro" product lines, but I have yet to see "too cheap" from them.

This is just the wake ... November will bring us a tidal wave of cheap 22" LCDs from every brand you can think of.

Rly. ;)

Just look at the ton of results you get from the usual pricegrabber engines. V7, Viewsonic, Asus, Belinea, Samsung, Yakumo, Acer, HP, Iiyama, Mirai ... they're all taking preorders for 22" widescreens, prices ranging from a hair below 300 euros to a hair above 400. Est'd delivery for all of them is mid-November.

Chimie was the Company that started the Title Wave of 22" LCD :! I have Chimie 22" and i am a proud owner ... it doesn't bleed like my Lazy Bibo Dell 2045FPW does.

No DVI on a 22" screen :(

I know it's for the budget market, but is DVI really an expensive optional feature? How big a screen does it need to be before DVI becomes a standard feature? :disgust:

Oh, amongst those I named, there are several models that do have DVI alright. Mirai and V7 are the ones on my shortlist, and they both have VGA and DVI. Acer offers versions with and w/o DVI, and I'm sure more of them do have DVI.

Peter: thanks for pointing out the upcoming DVI 22" panels. I was aware of the Acer (already have a 19" DVI panel from the xx2x series, as opposed to their analogue-only xx1x series). I'll be price-tracking some of the DVI panels you've listed...

I'll be keeping an eye on that Mirai one, and the new Dell E207FPW, even though it's 'only' 20" :)

I'll post any reviews if I find them. Hopefully they should be cropping up soon.

The main 'problem' with TN panels is that they're only 6bit panels isn't it? As they all seem to have a good response time.
