I have 2 and play these things maybe 3 hours every month, been using the PS3s a lot more.

They just keep RROD on me. I have never had a problem with any console like this. I was able to fix my PS2s and Xboxs when they went bad, usually just the power supply on those died after a 4-5 years.

This is just silly. Time to get India support to send me a RMA box. At least they try to be friendly even if I do have trouble understanding them.

I must be one of those lucky ones that bought a 360 with a good processor... mine hasn't failed yet and I've owned it for over 2 years.

Don't worry, Xbox Live will still be here when your Xbox comes back from RROD repair. LOL @ 2 Xbox, that's just sad.

Or you could just try the Xbox Support Page and submit your RMA there.

its bullshit that people have to go through this constantly just to be able to play x360 games. doesnt microsoft even care? im pretty sure they could handle losing a few billion more and pass out some working xboxes instead of recycling them and keeping this giant mess alive.

As bad as it is I still prefer Xbox. lol

and actually my personal experience is that I've had more failed PS2s that Sony refused to replace than I've had RRODs that MS would fix.

I'm not saying it is ok at all, just saying that from my personal experience MS is at least replacing mine (which took 10 days) where Sony refused even though my PS2s all had the same issue.

Actually it's not about microsoft not caring, it's about the consumers not caring. They still bought them.

Wow # 5 that is insane. I have had mine since launch with no issues.

You do know that you aren't suppose to keep them in the oven, duct tape all the air vents shut, or use them outside in a rain storm right. ;)

I said the same thing about my IBM deskstar hard drives (another item that was prone to failure). Want to guess what happened to them soon after?

The DeathStar started emitting the click click of death? Or did it go quietly?

Shh, you're going to Jinx my 360!

But I'd assume if it was going to go bad, that it would have done so already. I did have HDD issues, but I think that was related to the fan thingy I used as it seemed to have this issue where it'd spin up at 100% which caused quite a bit of vibrations that may've jarred the HDD. Has been fine since then.

I do think people with repeated problems should have a bit more attention given to them by Microsoft though.

Yeah, MS should have revised the 360 to address this much sooner. But they are at least servicing them and extending the warranty.

Perhaps the new version coming this month (Jasper?) will offer a good reliability finally. Is the Jasper shipping yet?
