I am trying to play Battlefield 2142, but every time i try to do so, it hangs at that map loading screen for a ridiculous amount of time 10+ minutes loading VERY VERY Slowly. Sometimes it is followed by a disconnected from server dialogue. I am on a wired Ethernet cable, I have Vista 64, 8800GTS 320MB, e6300, 1GB RAM. Max settings in game, Medium textures.

Ok after lowering settings I was able to run game fine. Should have checked that :/
I was wondering however the difference in 4Gb Ram Vs 2GB would there be a significant increase in performance. Currently Vista is using 667MB memory and I am considering that option of more ram.

Definitly more RAM. Personal experiences have shown this to me time and time again.

 For sure. The new gaming standard for vista is 2GB.
