hello all im getting ready to build a system

epox 8rda+ board
2100xp rev b
vantec Va4-c7040
xms 256 pc 2700 memory X2

i want to run the whole system at 166 fsb to do this do i need to set the processor to 13x166
and is 13 the default setting ?
do i need to change the voltage to do this ?

i have never overclocked before but i did some research and this fan/heatsink seem to be up to the task
any advise welcome

You may need to bump the voltage up to 1.7 or 1.75v if you cant run Prim95 for more then 6 hours w/o errors.

first of all, the default mult is 13x . you don't have to change it. make sure the mem and fsb frequency are the same ... set it to 100% (if you set it to auto and do fsb's over 184ish it'll make the FSB and mem frequency different so just set it to 100%)....

i think you should be able to do 13 x 166 at default voltage... if not, like bigj said, up it a lil to 1.65 or 1.7V

also, set the agp frequency to 66 but i think if it's on auto it should be okay... but i just have it set to 66 just to be safe :)

the pci frequency is locked at 33 so you don't have to worry about that....

you can put your mem timing to optimal or expert if you know how to mess with the timings....

and then yeah... run prime95 for 6 hours and if no errors occur, you're good to go at that speed...
