2100XP Overclock

Greetings from Miami,

I just received my 2100 XP "B", Kingston Hyper X 3000, and Asus A7N8X. I'd like to attempt a moderate overclock. Well, actually I already have. Bumped the CPU External Frequency to 166MHz. All other settings are default including "optimal" System Performance, and CPU Vcore at 1.60. Everything is running great.

Questions:

1) Are there any other settings that I NEED to change?

2) Are there any other settings that anyone would recommend I change?

Ahh I had that setup. If you are at 13 x 166 then you are at the 2700+ 333 fsb setting. If you are happy than that should be pretty much it. Make sure your memory and fsb are running in sync. You may also consider tightening up your memory timings at that speed. If you are planning to overclock further be sure to lock the agp bus @ 66 mhz.

Wow, this CPU/Motherboard combo is awesome. changed FSB to 166 and memory settings to "aggressive." Very pleased with the performance relative to my old AMD 1400 MHz/8K7A+. Old combo ran at 51 degrees C New one runs at 38 degrees C. I am very pleased.
