Just collecting information, as I anxiously await my processor. For those who own 2100+'s Thoroughbred B's from Newegg,

1.) When did you order
2.) What stepping and Week did you get?
3.) Whats your overclock?

After searching several forums, I've noticed in some threads, people claim some weeks OC higher than others, but unable to find a thread providing the information I want. Just curious to see what you guys got, and what we can conclude.

Thanks
Jonathan

I initially had corruption on my Harddrive that I thought might have been related to my O/C, but I have since figured out that when I replaced the MB, I hooked my SCSI HD up on the same channel as my SCSI CD ROM, thus creating all the problems.... I am probably going to try for a higher O/C, I feel the CPU has more headroom than I previously thought.

Thanks Aiden, not a bad overclock for 1.7V. Did you ever run at a higher voltage? What did you get then?

I know more of you guys have these processors out there, please reply :).

I ordered mine about two weeks ago. AIUHB stepping, week 50.

I'm doing 12x180=2.16GHz at 1.675v. Tested with P95 torture test for 10 hours straight while surfing and running 3DMark.

It will do 2.4GHz, at 1.850 volts, but it's not stable and gets very hot. I prefer stability over max MHz.

i ordered the same day as Aiden. got the same AIUHB stepping, week 50.
running 2.3ghz@1.85v prime stable. will try to push more later. i actually have another tbred 2100 coming any day now. ordered it on the 22nd. i'm hoping for a week 48 or 49, as those seem to oc a tiny bit better.

I would imagine that most of the week 48/49s are gone already. Chizow ordered his 2100 about a week before most folks. He got a week 48, IIRC. Everyone else is getting week 50 or later. :(

But hey, I'm getting an extra 400MHz out of my XP2100 at only .075 volts more than default, so I'm not complaining. ;)

save $50 and buy the 1700+ instead, my 1700+ from newegg is a JUIHB 0245, 2135mhz (178*12) default 1.6v stable.

Having a problem with My K7N2-L nforce2 board multipliers. It seems that this board doubles whatever multiplier I select. tried a 7 and it booted with a 15 multiplier. Ok it appears and i confirmed it that apparently The K7N2-L doesn't unlock all the multipliers. Unlocked the chip myself and now I got the multipliers.

Bump! Started adding information. Gathered from the 400+ post about this chip.

Will add more shortly.

If you would like to helpout, maybe you could post in the format I have made?

If your information was posted on here, and you would like me to remove, PM me, or reply on this thread.

Bah, damn you Koolance, where is my reservoir! Makes me feel kinda insignificant running at 13x166. Think I may buy an SLK-800 for the time being instead of this $5 POS I have on their now.

Ordered 2100+ TbredB from newegg on 25Jan. Waiting for it to arrive later this week.

Today I also ordered from pcnut.com --> Athlon XP 2100+ 1.73/266 CPU TBred B CPU / AIUHB Week 48/49 OEM $107.00
It will be interesting to see if they really do deliver that stepping. It supposedly shipped to today, so...

One of those 2 will stick with me, and the other ... well, I'll have to mull that one a bit. From what I read, week 48/49 is the sweet version.

This will be my first overclocking, so I'm certain to hit uncharted territory. :D Hopefully I'll set it up this weekend.

Epox 8RDA+ (not going to do that crazy VDD mod)
2x256 Corsair XMS DDR 3200 C2
SLK-800 with YS-Tech variable speed fan
and some miscellany
And thanks to a posted tip from Chizow, it's all going in a nifty Lian-Li PC65 plus (6 fans! I hope it doesn't sound like an airplane ;) )

BTW, first post. Nice forum. Learned a lot lurking around here. Can't wait for some hands-on.

:D

I'll update this thread again tomorrow.

Welcome to the forums cowdog! Its perhaps my favorite hardware forum that I visit. Great members, good speed, and lots of information. I hope to see you around some more, and I highly suggest you check out our Distributing Computing Forum! If you would like to help out (any computer helps!) check out the welcome thread to the top, figure out which project you would like to join, and put those ghz to good use :). I currently run SoB and SETI@Home (I have been more focued on SoB lately).

Thanks for checking the forum out, and welcome :D

wow, if pcnut is promising week 48/49 tbreds, i would jump on that. i just received my second tbred 2100 from newegg today (ordered last weds), and i'm testing it out as i type this. i'm at 2508mhz. it's probably not too stable at this speed, but i think it'll be stable in 2.4ghz range. a little better than the first one i got, which was running 2.31ghz prime stable. :D this second one is a week 49, my first one is a week 50. i hear the week 48's are the best oc'ers. i'll post my complete specs later.

Thanks for the information drewdogg, How much voltage you got running through that chip? I ordered mine last Thursday, and I'm still awaiting my chip. Fedex is being dumb, and not updating my tracking, I hate when they do that. I left a message for customer support and all I've gotten was an automated reply telling me to check out the FAQ pages.

This is why I like UPS the best. I only had the non-updated tracking problem once with UPS, I e-mailed, and they quickly replyed and fixed my tracking page.
