i'm wondering, does the nforce have a dram/fsb that makes it possible to run bartons using only 2100ddr?

:) thanks

You could set the RAM to run at a percentage of the FSB if you want to. What mobo? Download the manual and scope out the options, it's almost always in there unless it's a non-tweakable board period

For instance, I could try for 11 x 200 = 2200MHz on a 2500+, but first set the memory bus to run at 66% of the FSB. Tada, PC2100 memory right at PC2100 speed. Now, will it perform well, that's the question... my guess is it won't. :(

Well, you should be able to make it work. I have my 2500+ @ 3200+ with pc2700 no problems at all. Runs great

I'm using the Soltek NV400 Awsome board. The only place you can find it is at newegg. It's a single channel Nforce 2... check out reviews at anandtech and at amdmb ... it got expceptional reviews

Plus its a coool purple color :p
