21" or 22" alternative to 2007FPW

Are there any good alternatives to the Dell 2007FPW in a 21"or 22"? I don't want to go to the 24" size, due to the high native resolution, but would like to have something a bit larger.

I've seen some discussion of the Acer AL2216WBD, but it sounds like it doesn't compare favorably with the Dell. Any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

None whatsoever. Although I've never seen one, I've read nothing but positive reviews.

I was just hoping to get a bit larger monitor at the same 1680x1050 resolution that has the same (or very close to) display quality.

If there aren't any good alternatives, I'll probably pick up the 2007.

There really aren't any high quality 22" panels. All of 'em are TN-mode TFTs with a 6-bit color depth. :( I recommend going with the 20" 2007WFP for highest picture quality, unless you have trouble reading the font size that a 20"@1680x1050 would produce.

For 21" though, you do have the Samsung 215TW. It's just a bit slower than the Dell but other than that, equal or better in image quality. The viewing angles would be better on the Dell depending on what panel you end up with from Dell (S-IPS=best viewing angles, S-PVA=medium viewing angle).

You can always do what I did with my 20" widescreen ,have it like close to you,in my case about 16" from me,remember size of screen is relative to your viewing distance.

November will bring a whole bunch of new 22" 1680x1050 monitors, about a dozen at least here in Europe. Be patient.

Only one I can think of is the Samsung. You can find it almost as cheap as the other 20.1in models.

All the others are TFT as xt said. Your out of luck.

Do you think a 20.1in would be too small???
Maby you should look at the 24in models.
