John Weaver, a longtime G.O.P. operative who advised John McCain and John Kasich, made sexual overtures to young men, sometimes offering to help them get work in politics.

His solicitations included sending messages to a 14-year-old, asking questions about his body while he was still in high school and then more pointed ones after he turned 18.

none of the men accused Mr. Weaver of unlawful conduct.
Rather, many of them described feeling preyed upon by an influential older man in the field in which they wanted to work, and believing they had to engage with his repeated messaging or lose a professional opportunity.

did the Trump party leak this?
If so, why did they wait till their savior, King Trump the Twice impeached, was out of office to do it?

Someday in the future every Repub in DC who gets indicted for some crime or another will, after all is said and done employ what will become their standard line of last stand and resort: "Hey, I'm a Republican, what did you expect from me anyway?"

And of course, what with a Senate and Supreme Court of and for themselves, that last line of defense should hold up pretty well indeed.

I mean, look at how Trump will get off the hook twice by his fellow party members after it was clearly demonstrated how guilty he was/is.

Lincoln Project is run by Republicans
Republican party is the Catholic church of politics.
They have quotas to meet
none of the men accused Mr. Weaver of unlawful conduct.

I think the way this is supposed to work is that because Mr. Weaver has been accused of doing "Typical Republican things" we must now discredit and reject EVERYTHING about the Lincoln Project.
Then we need to insert the terms "Cancel Culture" and "Democratic Hypocrisy" into the thread and make demands that Biden condemn the Lincoln Project or something?

I'm I doing it right?

Would be hilarious if that this entire story is because a Republican found out the guy was gay and in true republican fashion is trying to banish him because of it.
and Ryan Girdusky, a political consultant and the author of the American Conservative report, disputed that account.

“When young men approached them they ignored it,” Girdusky wrote on Twitter. “When they heard I was working on the story they warned Weaver. When I wrote a story they said nothing. When Axios published a story they said he’s just gay. Now he’s a predator. Project Lincoln [sic] lied. They knew. They’re complicit.”

Steve Schmidt, another Lincoln Project co-founder, told the Times: “There was no awareness or insinuations of any type of inappropriate behavior when we became aware of the chatter at the time.”

lol - but hey, keep donating millions to the guy because he is anti-trump but is still 100% in favor of right-wing politics.

The left is definitely the party of "How many monkeys does it take to screw in a light bulb?"

Lincoln what? Pretty sure their lease expired on Nov 3rd.
They are welcomed to campaign for a President Harris in 2024 though. But they gotta prove some intent first.

The fact he is anti-Trump means he's also not into conspiracy theories. That means he's only 50% in favor of right wing politics

This was the first thing that came to my mind. One of the Pence Troop found out.

"He did nothing illegal per se, because well...he's still a republican after all. But he might be a gay pedo. Beware."
