Don't know if this has been posted, but as I stopped by Best Buy this morning to get in on the Iomega ZipCD deal, I noticed that the 20pk Imation cdrs in the slim jewel cases were only $4.99 for a 20pk. The package says 1x-12x compatible, but on some, there's a sicker on top that says now 16x compatible. Same SKU on all packages, so I assume they'll all do 16x. I had been getting all my cdrs at Outpost.com, Kingston 700MB/80Min 12x 50cd spindle for $12.95, but if you do the math, these Imations actually work out a lil more than $.01 cheaper per cd, plus you get a nice slim jewel case. I picked up 2, but I don't remember seeing a limit.

Grabbed a couple of these when I did my price ajustment for the Iomega burner. These imations work perfect at 12x.

Yes, this deal has been posted in a few threads already. However, posting this deal at such a late point seems moot. These discs quickly sold out today and it may be some more time before BB gets more in stock.

They ran out of the 20 packs and had lots of 10 packs at my BB, ask them if you can get a pair of those for $5. Worked for me!

if an employee at best buy tells you something is coming in at a certain date they are giving you misinformation.
as an employee of said company, i can tell you we have no way of knowing when something is coming in.

if you do the math,
4.99*1.08(sales tax here)/20 = 0.26946
12.95/50 = 0.259

they are .01 more :) anyway, are they 80min cds?

The 20pk comes with jewel cases for each cdr. This deal is pretty hot I tell ya. I just paid 9.99+tax for a 25pk of Imation slim jewel cases a week ago to have cases for the cdr spindles I have. I went there when they opened to get a price ajustment for the Iomega burner and bought a couple of these 20pks. The shelves were full of these at that time. I went home then an did not realize how good the deal for the cdrs was. Went back 20 minutes later and the shelves were cleaned out. The only one left was a open box one selling for $11.99. It looked injured and was not worth buying.

I second what Wiley said. I work at BB as well, and the entire store is automatically restocked by computers. The trucks come in on Wednesday, but the only thing the sales reps can do is see if it was ordered. You won't know what is on the truck until Wednesday.

Grabbed some and one of them was slightly broken so got it for half price.
Now have to wait for a 16x drive to test their claim.

I am a manager at BB--I know what is coming in the truck. I don't tell anyone else in the store so I can feel like a big shot.

So what...I know I'm a loser...but I get free crap ALL THE TIME!!

WOOOOOOOOOO!!

Request for a raincheck at the computer department. So when they have it back in stock, you can pay it for that price. $4.99 price till Jan 6th,Saturday at the B&M. Website shows $14.99.
