I've read the "Ultimate 20/24PIN" thread... one thing I;m just a littl unsure of;

I plan to install a 7800GTX. My PSU is an Enermax Noisetaker 475w which is a very high efficiency PSU.

The thread mentions "20 pin to 24 pin connector not recommended for graphics cards about 6600GT". Has anyone else tried with a 7800GTX and an older 20pin connector and had success ? Or should I bite the bullet and get the Antec Smart Power 2.0 550W or Enermax 600w ?

I'm still using a 20-pin MB/PSU, but I would absolutley get a 24-pin PSU if I upgraded to a 7800 GT(X).

since the 7800 has it's own power connector on the card itself i dont think you'll have any problems.

Unless it's a DFI board that really needs that 24pin power connector.
