The person who wrote that is a fool and has never been near a 20mm cannon while it's firing. You can hear them for miles around, and it will scare the shit out of anyone, especially if its pointed at you. Everyone knows this.

This is pretty close. My dad used to work on these back when he was in the Navy. In fact I still have one of the 20mm dummy rounds he gave me, the bullet itself is about 3 inches long.

And, yes, that's a missile it's shooting down.

Incredible. The A10 is my favorite piece of military equipment. It's not the most elegant piece of hardware ever designed, it's just an insane monster.
