I already have win98SE installed with various applications, now stack up to 3GB on my only C drive (20GB). I am planning to use pqmagic5.5 to cut more partitions to install win2k, linux. Please advice a optimized partition strategy. Also, I'll install oracle8 or some other database, do I need to take that under consideration when partition the HDD?
Later if I install the same application under win2k, can I just install them in the same directory under win98? (Say, win98 and office installed on C:. When install under win2k, I designate the directory as C:\program files\microsoft....?) Does this work for most applications, or any drawbacks?
