Hmm... Let's see

I already stated that their site said 'not in stock' so what was the point of trying to point that out that that was some type of big discovery. As far as being a repost. I searched through at least 5 pages of posts which is 100 posts. Sorry I did not scour the entire database of posts to see if this had previously been posted. If it is a repost, which I have no way of knowing because the first post is hidden too far back to be if any use, then maybe it will be good for those users who don't feeling like reading a Wan and Peace size amount of posts just to try and find a potential good deal. Hell, i'd encourage someone to repost if the damn thing is hidden 500 posts back. Who has that kind of time??? Oh wait, you do.

does that mean it's 101 posts back now thanks to you? damnit;)

Seriously, it's not about checking 5 pages of posts of scouring the world to see if someone else posted, just do a simple search of the anandtech hotdeals forum before posting so that all the info on a deal is in one place. But thanks for trying, don't let everyone get to you.

Huh, don't think this is a repost. Did not find in search. Did find this thread that sounds real similar but the deal was at Telekomnet. It's not in stock at the moment either. So XJnine it looks like your in the clear man! :)

Maybe it will come back in stock.

Your link linkified

The question still remains . . . has anyone gotten this drive at this price???

I don't mind the reposts . . . heck, some deals are worth posting twice.

that repost comment? now that user is that much closer to being a Senior member. whoop-dee-doo. also probably why people are eager to linkify things...

I searched reseller ratings and Bizrate on this compnay (SkyyMicro) and didn't find anything. Has anyone ever done business with them? Also couldn't find on their site the shipping charges/options. Anyone? Looks like a good deal to me. If they never get them in stock - oh well - but if they actually ship them is sounds like a dang good deal to me.

Thanks for the post XJnine, if it was posted before I sure missed it.

zeroidea,

You got it wrong on the linkify reason. Lots of newer folks in this forum don't seem to know how to use the http link function in their messages. Other members will add a post with a linkify. It's much easier to click a linkify to open the link in a new window than to copy a link, open a new window, paste the link and then hit enter.

On the repost issue, folks get excited about hot deals and sometimes don't re/search to see if it is posted already. In this case XJnine did search for the deal. You can look through the last several days of posts here in hot deals and find multiple threads on the same deal. Telling someone that that their post is a repost just lets them know of the other existing thread. It would be nice though if the "reposter" provided a link to the existing thread.

So chill and enjoy the great deals. :)

I'll let you all know what happens. I ordered 4 of them when I found out about it. Shipping charges are reasonable, I think it was $18.00 for all 4 drives.

I'd avoid Samsung HD's at all cost. They make great memory, monitors, and a lot of other stuff, but hard drives are not their forte'.

XJnine, you can setup prefences to show 100 posts on a single page, just so you know.

I beg to differ, Samsung makes excellent hard drives. I bought an 8 gig 2 years ago, and not a peep from it(literaly they are quiet as hell).

Hey...looks like their server has crashed...
Guess it's pointless to argue about the merits of this deal now!

We are currently experiencing problems.

Please try again later.
