I bought last weekend from these guys. Got myself an 8800gtx for $230. Three days later I find that they accidentally shipped an 8800gts to me. After a few emails and phone calls we got things straightened out and they overnighted the 8800gtx to me. It took a little longer, but I'm used to 9-10 day shipping from buy.com anyhow. So I'm happy with what i got. Now I'm going to try and see if they'll do a pricematch to this weekend's deal. hehe. They're a new company so they're very eager to please. I'm contemplating real hard whether or not to get another 8800gtx, but considering I have a crossfire board, that'd just be dumb.... unless i do another build. anyhow. here's the deals.

Very tempting. I'm trying to wait a little while longer to upgrade my 7800gt, but at these prices it's awfully tempting.

they do not do as well. i've seen comparisons of the 512mb 3850 beating the 320mb 8800gts in a few games. so since both the 9600gt and 8800gt beat the 3850 pretty handily I'd say the 8800gts's are quite inferior, but that price is pretty hard to beat. if you're using a low resolution monitor, I don't think it'll make much difference between the them, but if you plan on playing with a 24" at 1900x1200 or something then definitely look to the 8800gt/9600gt.
price performance wise though... i think a ~$200 8800gtx can't be beat.

At this price, I would be buying the GTX today and right now... However, newer cards are coming very soon and some of them can be better deals or drive the price on GTX further down.

I'd imagine the newer 8800GT (G92 or whatever) at $ 140 is still a better bang for your buck then a GTX even at this price or no? And anyone know where this Zotac company came from? Seem to sprout up out of nowhere. Is it kind of like Palit which I always see in those Euro / British gaming mags is starting to be seen over here.....

stuff i've seen seems to say that zotac is a oem like foxconn... they build generic pieces for other co's labels... and have decided to start selling their own...

yah... last week's 320mb deal was awesome. it's all about the 8800gtx and 640mb this week. i'm tempted to buy another 8800gtx, but gotta save for my vacation! my gf's gonna be pissed if i can't do something with her because i spend $200 on an extra vid card i can't use yet. (no sli board) ;p yahh... anyhow. zotac's a big name in europe. they have a lifetime warranty for the US now. they're trying to get big here in the US so live a little. same with fxvideocards.com, eager to please.

hooray no state sales tax in oregon. ;p

lol. man... zotac just got to the US. they're changing up their warranty. It's a 2 year warranty, and a lifetime warranty after registration. check their website:

Registered mine today and now have the lifetime warranty. A few days ago it was not possible to register a USA product. I guess there website was just a little behind their marketing.

There are only 4 options for place of purchase and FXVideo cards are not one of the 4. Don't think it will mean anything though.

Issues:

1. fxvideocards.com linked the Zotac site, not the ZotacUSA site. The ZotacUSA site is the correct one for US registrations
2. ZotacUSA was tweaking their registration process. It was buggy before, but worked. Should be all hammered out by now.

So, according to ZotacUSA, lifetime warranty should be in effect as written. I just registered a few days ago as well.

I've got the 320mb from last weekends deal of $79.99.

My system below got 7361 3dMarks in 06. No overclocking at all.

I can't believe these have dropped so much! I havn't really been paying much attention since I got my 8800GT but dang.
