It seems LCD's are going to blur, and my CRT is dying... so I've been looking at this DiamondTron 2060u 22" .. a refurb with a new tube, theyre going pretty cheap on ebay, a little more than would cost me to get a good 19" new.. and a lot cheaper than a new 21" CRT... does anyone have any experience with this monitor? is it worth ~$310 shipped? any other good monitors too look into? any help would be great, thanks e

The 2060u is a NEC/Mitsubishi right? I've got a NEC/Mitsu fe2111sb 22" crt monitor. It's got the Diamondtron tube and has a good picture. Also it's a bit cheaper than their top of the line monitors (2141/2070 (I think those are the names)). The SuperBright feature is handy too. If you aren't going to go over 1600x1200 @ 85hz, it's best resolution,k it's an impressive monitor.

If you buy a refurb on Ebay is the warranty still good? I bought my crt from Dell and when there was a problem with the first one they repaced it immediately at no cost to me.

I wouldn't trust those guys with $300. Buy a new one with a real warranty. Who knows what they put in there? You should consider the mitsubishi diamond pro dp930sb. Beautiful picture, it uses the top level diamondtron tube (there are different level diamondtron tubes and I dont think rick's cut rate monitors off ebay uses quality tubes)
