Well, Baltimore also has plenty of people willing to fuck up a life.

It makes housing wonderfully affordable. /sarcasm ;)

My mom's has a real estate acquaintance who actually bought a $30,000 rowhouse deep in the ghetto to try and rent out.

Come to think of it, Ray Lewis is an accurate rep for that franchise.

unfortunately we can't trade the browns owner

and the owner is trying to play jerry jones

Apparently the browns are back in the mix to get a serial sexual abuser, the adult they always wanted, Wattson has agreed to waive his no trade clause to the Browns it seems.

ESPN reports it's a done deal. Maybe Watson ultimately wins an MVP award, but I think the Browns got fleeced. Not only did they give up 3 first rounders (expected), they tore up the remaining 3 years on Watson's existing contract. $230M fully guaranteed over 5 years shatters all current precedents by a mile.

As we discussed recently, record-setting QB contracts are the greatest impediment to winning a championship.

It's quite different circumstances, but this is reminiscent of Latrell Sprewell's season long suspension from the Golden State Warriors. He was then released by the team, and signed a much larger contract in New York LOL.

Ha.

The odds are this goes badly, though it could work out. But the odds....

Now they have no leverage to get much of anything for Baker either

Houston almost had Deshaun in a miserable game of pick your football shithole...Cleveland is a shithole but the team is good.

As far as skill goes, Mayfield hit his ceiling. Wonder where he goes.

Contention-wise, maybe not this year for Cleveland though. League will give Watson a suspension for sure.

Oh yeah, I'll bet Mitch Trubisky felt something when this news broke...at the very least he knows the pressers will involve at least one Watson question regarding being in the same draft and now the same division. There is also their vast pay gap....

Browns trading for Deshaun Watson: Here's why the QB's new contract suggests a 2022 NFL suspension is likely

"They're not just fully guaranteeing a reported five-year, $230 million contract for Watson, making him the NFL's second-highest-paid QB behind only Aaron Rodgers. They've also built Watson's new deal to help the QB avoid severe financial penalties in the event he's suspended in 2022, according to NFL Media."

How like the Browns would it be to pay him big bucks plus picks then promptly lose him to a suspension for his first season on the team ?!? (somehow planning on it seems even worse!)

apparently if he gets suspended, he only loses 1 million bucks next year, which is his base salary.

In fairness, I don't think people can really fault the Browns for thinking they are a QB away. RB depth is insane, OL is supposed to be good, stout defense.

Their receiving corps is a question now though. Cooper is good, but who is the number 2.

I'm not sure which team fared worse acquiring its "superstar," the Browns or the Raiders. Bill Barnwell thinks it's definitely the Raiders paying Davante Adams the rough equivalent of franchise QB money. :tearsofjoy:

Yeah it's the Raiders. Adams will show his true colors without Rodgers.

there's already a protest planned in berea today too

most of the browns fans i know are very upset with this signing

baker might not have been the QB we needed, but deshawn should not have been considered as an option

but jimmy haslam's paying the bills and calling the shots, so what he wants goes
