2021 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat

Suppose to be announced at the New York Auto Show in April.

Expect the supercharged Durango to have the same powertrain and running gear as the current Hellcat-powered Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. Under the hood will sit a 707-horsepower supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 with a 2.3-liter supercharger huffing 11.6 pounds of boost. Power will be send to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. The single-speed active transfer case will manage power with help from an electronic limited-slip differential in back.

I sure hope it gets good gas mileage. :tonguewink:

The Durango SRT is 5k less than the Jeep SRT just looking at MSRP not option to option. I wonder if that'll carry over to the Trackhawk version.

Trackhawk is a monster. This will be too. Fairly straightforward to get to 1000hp. Combined that with awd squat launch and it's hard to beat from a dig.

Gobs of power and aerodynamics of a refrigerator... ahh, America. These types of vehicles are cool I guess, in their own sort of niche way, but are basically the epitome of seeing who can buy their way to bragging rights--without actually putting in any work.

Buy a used one in a few years when they're worth less than half MSRP and pray the clutch holds up if you really wanted one.

I think you're confused. All of the go go suvs are euro brands outside of Dodge. Literally, all of them except Dodge.

Eh, Dodge/Jeep are owned by FCA... so it's all the same to me. True US brands or not, the vehicles still cater to the same "big motor in a big car" American automobile philosophy.

Roll me over in the clover…
and the median
and the shoulder

Putting that much power in a high profile vehicle doesn't seem like the best idea.
Merc G55 AMG? Supercharged Range Rovers? They're not sports cars but they're far from lumbering beasts.
