So how does everyone think the Black Friday debacle is going to go this year? Entertaining fights inside Walmarts - but this time with Chin diapers on?

Or will it be mostly tame and a much bigger majority will stick to online-only?

While there is obviously the likes of Amazon, I haven't kept up with box-retail stores if they are still doing the "in-store only amazing deals" shit to try and get foot traffic.

I was just thinking to myself "Hmmm, I need to go to Costco to get a couple things - I don't want to go today because it's probably going to be flooded with people getting stuff for Thanksgiving meal... How about Friday?" and I seriously considered Friday because I entirely forgot about Black Friday. Maybe Black Friday is dead entirely finally?

I'll be honest.... I'm highly contemplating buying my kid a Nintendo Switch. Gotta beat them at Mario Kart and Super Smash Brothers while you still can....

A lot of stores did Black Friday "weeks" this week.

I already got what I wanted - 3 games at Best Buy on Sunday. Ordered em online and picked them up curbside later on that day.

Now I'm trying to find an Xbox Series X to play them on lol.

I presume we will still get people getting trampled to death, except instead of dying from bodily trauma they will die from covid-19.

Seriously though I'm guessing there will be more online shopping this year. Honestly they should just close all the stores on Black Friday, let those employees enjoy a day off for once.

I'm getting my son his own Switch. I already got one but I want him to have his own cause when we fly I'll be using mine and I know he'll want to play it. And he'll also like having his "own" even though he won't be able to play it whenever he wants.

All they have so far are Mario Kart bundles with 3 months subscription to NSO. I am waiting to see if there is another one. I already have that game and don't need another copy, let alone a digital copy.

I got my daughter her own Switch along with copy of Zelda even though I have a Switch and another copy of Zelda. My daughter also likes having her own. She won't play my Switch or my copy of games.

I'm going to Costco on Friday to buy 2 packages of discounted pork loins. It's $8 off each package, limit 2. They do it every year. Perfect for KBBQ.

I would like to do some home projects this weekend so hopefully Home Depot isn't too busy.

i think the stores might actually be closed tomorrow for a change, which is nice. sales having to be on thanksgiving day is just another thing the pandemic has exposed as bullshit.

Yeah when that fad first started I was floored. Can we get away from the consumerism ever?

I probably drive around and look for anything that I like in the stores/malls. Don't need anything but a new laptop or tablet but I am not going to pay extra just because of the higher demand for tech items because of the virus (WFH).

And I got an Xbox Series X tonight for pickup within 3-7 days at Walmart.
