I'm not sure about the 2 liter turbo, but if it's built anything like the 3.5L turbo, it's a pretty strong engine, other than the water pump. Water pump is internal to the engine and often requires entire engine replacement if the water pump fails, which on the 3.5L has been quite common in the 100-125k range.
I'd look into the design of the 2.0 a bit more, but I would expect that Ford would have fixed this issue on any newer generation engine.Thanks to all. All but 1 version of current Edge have 2.0L turbo, which is the point of concern and this post.
