Interesting. It can tow 4500 pounds. I wonder what the AWD version is going to cost. I need to get a vehicle that can tow and I'll be sad to lose the fun of my WRX. This may be decently enjoyable to drive.

Chevy Blazer.
For the buyer who was going to pull the trigger on the Equinox but then they dropped the 3.6 option.

Chevy Blazer.
For the buyer who was going to pull the trigger on the Equinox but they have decided they needed a little more towing capacity but the Traverse is overkill.

Chevy Blazer.
For the buyer who isn't into cars and wants a CUV thingee and went with their friend to a GM dealership and saw a pretty one on the showroom floor and the salesman talked them into it.

Chevy Blazer.
Cuz eeerrrrbawdy has white or silver Equinox and you would be the first with a fawncy Red Equinox with a Nissan-Lexus appearance package and a new transmission.

Ugly. Was in a top of the line prestige Q5 loaner the other day...drove well, comfortable, more tech than I could want...but just ugly. Crossovers are just blah to me regardless of how many creases. Attempting to make them sporty just increases my lack of interest. I feel that way about my wife’s Q7...but it functionally fits a purpose. I would never buy one if I didn’t need the functionality.

That's pretty bold for a Chevy. I like it. The gray one looks best without all the black plastic. Can these companies put this much effort into their sedan platforms and do a hot hatch or wagon that looks this good?

Why the boo on the 9 speed auto? From what I've read the GM's 9 speed is sublime, at least in terms of shift quality.

Right, it's not a ZF unit!

I only have experience with FCA's ZF9, which has not be stellar. I've read that Kia's version (8-speed? in the Stinger) is pretty decent. If GM's doing their own, I'd be willing to entertain it as an option. But, not on a first-year car. Not again 😀

Nobody has anything bad to say about the ZF-8 speed. The Europeans put them in everything!

Note the Stinger has a longitudinally mounted engine/trans

This thing is based off the same platform as the Arcadia and Traverse.
Blazer chucks the third row seating.

So they had the Equinox and the Traverse. They pushed the Equinox downmarket a bit and pushed the Traverse up market and squeezed this in the middle.

Ironically (or appropriately) some Acadia trims also chuck the 3rd row. This is also the same platform as the Cadillac XT5.

Chevy Blazer 1980s, 2 doors, good approach angles, high clearance, solid rear axle, Semi-hardcore off roader.

Chevry Blazer 2019; 4 door softroader

This will appeal to todays mass market, but, not to the original niche market the Blazer filled in the olden times.

Looks like every other piece of crap Chevy honestly. Also why does it have 4 doors?

Can't wait to mute more Chevy commercials with that idiot showing basic features every car has to crowds of 'real people' saying they look like BMW's.

They already have it on the cruise diesel and Malibu. I want to say the 2.0t equinox and fwd versions of the new regal too. There may be more, but I’m drawing a blank.

yet another uggo hatchwagon. ford's new bronco is probably going to be a much better homage to an old name.

at least they put an SUV's name on it (looking at you, mitsubishi)

My son had a two door Blazer, and to me it is certainly nothing to remember fondly and try to emulate. Might have been good off-road, be he never used it that way. Otherwise, although I liked the styling, it was very cramped, with difficult access to the back seat. I cant remember why exactly, but he got rid of it quite quickly.

Finally got around to looking at their offerings and then it spells out everything.
Trax - 21K
Equinox - 24K
Blazer --???
Traverse - 30K
Tahoe - 47K
Suburban - 50K

Some planner saw the big gap between the Travers and the Tahoe and thought it would be cure to shove the Blazer in the Traverse's old spot and push the Travers closer to the high 30's and .
This is what I think they are going to price it at.
Shorten the Traverse, update the styling and price it in the 30K segment. Name it something familiar.

Trax - 21K
Equinox - 24K
Blazer -28-=32K
Traverse - 35-40K
Tahoe - 47K
Suburban - 50K

Talk about splitting hairs. And there is a Buick and Cadillac version of many of these too.
