Lookin good

Yeah don't see the point of just 250hp. I assume this thing is trying to compete with the likes of the Golf R and the STi, so it should really be north of 300hp.

Looks pretty bad ass though, definitely worth checking out.

Edit: According to C&D, it's 316hp. Pretty solid.

Same motor as my ecoboost mustang. It's a fantastic motor. These hot hatches ford are coming out with are awesome with this looking like the best yet (on paper anyways).

between this and the miata, I need to make more money.

REALLY liking this car. Pleasantly surprised by the AWD. hopefully it's around 30k

yea it looks very nice. however im curious what itll cost, because its its just as expansive as a STi I don't see the poinnt

This. A Focus ST with Recaros is ~25k + TTL. If they can get this priced (with Recaros) at ~30k + TTL, that'll be a steal.

But I have a feeling it'll be 30k just for a base version.

a golf r mkvii starts around 36k. I would be surprised if the RS isnt in the same range.

I still can't help but be suspicious of the brake based torque vectoring crap ford has on these cars.
It seems like this is a good way to spend a lot of money on pads\rotors over the life of the car.
I've already read a few reports of impacts at the track. Wonder what the long term impacts on regular street use are.

Anybody buying one of these to actually drive (autox/etc) is already spending money on pads/rotors. 😛

Gonna be much closer to $40K than $30K...and with reportedly ~2000 coming to the US, there won't be a lot of wiggle room at the dealership.

Is this brake based torque vectoring? I thought they were using a clutch based system on this car?
