And driving is an issue when you're on the field? If he failed a sobriety test at a checkpoint and got cited for another DUI, fine. Due process. But alcohol screening, especially during the "offseason"?

Priorities NFL, priorities.

Agree it's stupid but it's also the labor rules the player's union agreed to. And I think my employer has lots of stupid rules, but I follow them since I like getting paid. If my salary potential was as high as Josh Gordon, you'd be damn sure I'd follow every rule to the letter and would criticize the stupid rule after I retired.

Same thing happened to Matt Prater, had a dui a couple years ago, during the offseason last year he had a couple beers and was caught and suspended for 4 games and let go by his team.

whats weird is the nflpa actually rejected lower standards on alcohol and MJ to Olympic levels. All of this guys bad samples were below Olympic thresholds.

They did it to themselves.

Offseason is shaping up to be pretty interesting. There are a couple of teams like the bears switching to different schemes so expect some low round trades for decent backup players in their rookie contracts. Bears have a couple of decent players who dont really fit a 3-4 now like Sutton.

The hell? Is that kind of thing even actionable?

fucking NFL....

Somebody else got caught for that a few years back right? Was it the Colts? It seems like there was a rule put in place at that time but my brain is fuzzy on the details (normal mode for me).

Yeah it was the Colts. I quickly checked ESPN but did not see the story there, but the podcast said Schefter was talking about it.

Of course, the Falcon had to bring in artificial crown noise, they don't have any fans to fill the stadium with.

This will be a very interesting offseason for the Colts - my guess is that since they're now eligible to cut Trent Richardson with NO cap hit, he'll be the first to be slashed.

You think the Colts will pick an RB or try and find someone in FA?

Yes, they'll look into FA and probably also in the lower rounds of the draft. I don't recall off the top of my head what Bradshaw's contract is like (he might be a free agent too), but I wouldn't expect them to resign him and I think they'll probably cut Ballard if they're able to.

I have got to order one of those Factory of Sadness T-shirts.

LOL, I wasn't aware of those until now. That's amazing.

The Browns actually had a really good year this season, by historical standards.

Of course, everyone else in the AFC North went to the postseason.:awe:

I think the Colts will look at forsett if he hits free agency. I dont think they will make a play for AP or Murray.

I could see the colts drafting a Middle linebacker like Perryman in the first and Gurley in the second. I could also see them looking at Cobb in the third or maybe somebody like Abdullah in the third though I dont see him dropping that far.

Colts should go defence in the first and OT and RB in the later rounds with a D line depth as well.

Colts sign Duron Carter from the CFL. It's a gamble but one with a big win if it works out.

His cap number shouldnt be too bad. I think its a big win for the colts giving them a nice compliment to their speedster. Did Chris have a duracell contract at the time the kid was born? Such a weird name.

I think I am more exited for the offseason this year than I was the playoffs with all the teams moving to a 3-4. 3 possibly 4 new teams moving from 4-3 or in the case of Denver from a hybrid 40 to a two gap 3-4.

With the salary cap going to 150 teams are gonna spend spend spend this offseason.

Some rosters are gonna have HUGE turnover.

What the Colts need is to find some defensive players to stop the opponent's running game. They're getting Blounted every year by the Patriots.

totally agree. Colts need to get physical up the middle and a guy like Denzel Perryman in the first round would really give this team a physical presence and an identity on defense. Colts just werent talented enough to compete in the postseason.

Do you guys think Wayne is gonna retire this year?
