Just wish GM could figure out how to put a descent interior in the vettes. They're great deals on performance be still feel pretty econo-car inside.

Beats the crap out of the Audi S5 I test drove. Was not impressed at all with it. The C7 Corvette in comparison was much nicer IMO interior wise....and exterior....and performance.

These are the numbers with the absolute least meaning to me..... Heh.

Also, automatic is always faster than manual on a launch. This is nothing new. Expect individuals to get better times than GM published, if that's your thing. Personally I like turning, but whatever ;)

Also, those numbers were with the most aggressive aero package. If the down force is as great as they claim, expect some better trap speeds (and thus faster times with good launches) from the base package. Not sure by how much though.

Manual is the one to get, IMO. The way things are headed, there may never be another car with this level of performance and a manual transmission.

Mine is blue, and manual, and z07, and based on information available today, should arrive right around December. Just in time to be parked all winter long. UGH.

Thought I'd bump this thread... I'm idly thinking about getting this:

Looks like mine except I got a coupe with silver wheels.

Odd timing for your post. The first ones started coming off the line yesterday. I'm expecting mine to be built any day now.

Once you've got it I'd love to hear what you think of it. :)

My car is now produced. Now the waiting for the initial QC hold begins. I have a sub 100 VIN.

 Nice! I absolutely love this new generation Corvette. I have nothing disparaging to say about the Corvette anymore. GM finally created a car I would buy.

What are you doing with your current Vette? Trading it in or selling it? Kind of makes your current car obsolete.

I sold it already. Well, technically traded it. I live in a state with 7% sales tax on the full price of vehicles (and even more on the first few thousand), but we are untaxed on the value we get for the trade in, so in many cases it we get more out of a trade than a private sale.

Somewhat concerned with the overheating issues that MT saw. Pobst first two laps where about the same time, but the car started pulling back after that and then finally threw an error.
