I'm fine with that. Hopefully it will be a fitting ending. FX shows usually jump the shark around the 6 season mark.

Hopefully they will jump it forward to the breakup of the Soviet Union. There was a 60 Minutes piece last winter about a a guy that sounds a lot like a real life "illegal" that is living life here pretty much ignored by the government now.

Somewhat related news to Person of Interest...

There's news that Mel Gibson is writing a sequel to Passion of the Christ. Wonder if they'll get Jim Caviezel back to play Jésus considering that he was supposedly blacklisted in Hollywood for playing it the first time.

I don't think it can work without the same cast. The main two characters in the current/original are perfect.
I don't know. I would miss them myself but I think the concept can stand on its own with the right cast. You would still need to have some chemistry between the actors like with any good drama, but I don't think you need the same actors. There's so much you can do with the current story line it would be a shame if they DON'T do a spin off.

Not a show I cared about but for those who may care...Nashville got picked up for a new season by CMT after getting canceled by ABC.

Hunters got hunted.
Looks like Syfy has terminated Hunters. Variety reports the network has cancelled the new series after one season.

The sci-fi series followed the Exo-Terrorism Unit, a secret government organized dedicated to stopping an alien terrorist cell. The cast included Nathan Phillips, Laura Gordon, Shannon Berry, Britne Oldford, Lewis Fitz-Gerald, Mark Coles Smith, Gareth Davies, and Julian McMahon.

During its 13-episode run, the show received poor ratings, earning an average of only .08 in the 18-49 demo rating and 315,000 viewers.

Bleh.

I hated the last season of the entire going to jail storyline as it was a ok way to end the show in 2-3 episodes at most so he goes on to something else and it was a way to quit being a lawyer.

So I guess he becomes a jail lawyer and will trade his services for cigs and toilet wine? ;)

...NCIS has already been renewed for seasons 14 and 15. Ugh, might be time to call it. New cast members being announced.

Whoa... I haven't followed this thread very closely, but just saw that Public Morals was cancelled by TNT. I thought it was one of the best shows I've seen in a long time.

Yeah, was a different enough show I was interested in it continuing to a second season at least to see it experience a sophomore run.

With it hitting august about time to start a thread for the new broadcast year, so closing this one out with some life within death as Turn gets renewed for a finale season.

I stopped watching after the first season. I only got half-way through the first season of Halt & Catch Fire.

Absolutely loved Humans and liking Preacher a lot on AMC though.

I love history stuff so Turn had me hooked pretty easy.

For this last weekend went through the last four episodes of good wife. Actually a rare occasion where the series finale was both a good episode itself and a good wrapup of the show. Only thing missing was the previous investigator stopping by (whose name I'd butcher without looking up first.

Houdini & Doyle, Donny, and Powers canned, Suits renewed.

I am shocked Houdini & Doyle lasted as long as it did.
Never watched the other ones, so, can't say I will miss them.

You know, that Van Helsing, on Syfy, episode that ran without commercials was pretty horrible as well. I am waiting to see that posted here shortly.

Summer premiere show... not promoted much -- it was promoted terribly on a local channel -- so not that surprised.
