1. I don't have cable, what is the best way to watch the WC games that are on ESPN, ESPN2? Doesn't seem like I can even legally buy a streaming service?

2. WTF is up with the ABC world cup schedule? They choose to broadcast Belgium vs. Russia and South Korea vs. Algeria on ABC, but US vs. Portugal is on ESPN?

Sunday, June 22
Belgium vs. Russia, 11:30 a.m. (ABC)
South Korea vs. Algeria, 2:30 p.m. (ABC)
United States vs. Portugal, 5:30 p.m. (ESPN) 😕

In fact I cannot watch any U.S. games in group play since none are on ABC.

June 26 is all you need to know: USA vs. Germany
Off the top of my head
June 12 Brazil vs Croatia
June 13 Spain vs The Netherlands
June 14 England vs Italy
June 16 Germany vs. Portugal & Ghana vs. USA
June 19 - England vs Uruguay
June 22 - USA vs. Portugal
June 24 England vs Costa Rica
June 25 Nigeria vs Argentina

and, for me, pretty much every other game in the tournament...

I can't wait for the World Cup...I'll catch the first half here in the US and then I'll be in Europe where I'm hoping it'll be crazy the entire time through!

Can't wait. CBC shows every single game (free of course) as far as I can tell, which is great, plus our firm sets up a dedicated feed so people can have the live stream running on their PCs. Viva Espana!

It is likely they don't "choose" who to broadcast. And they are set up in a mid day, afternoon, night game schedule.

They might not "choose" but do you really think they would show the games everyone really wants to see for free vs making people pay for espn. Just look at the group stage games ABC is covering....all the meh games for match up wise. not that they cant be good games but NONE of the most talked about games are being shown.

But to the OP. Find a friend or someone who has comcast (or others) and watch them via ESPN3 online streaming.

That isn't really up to them. The "pay to watch" networks offered more to get the big games and ABC only offered enough to get the early game, it looks like.
