2014 barracuda?

The rumor now is that it's not going to be called a Barracuda but instead, the Avenger will be relaunched as a RWD high performance midsized sedan including the 6.2 hellcat supercharged hemi option. The Challenger, which was rumored to be replaced by a smaller and more nimble Barracuda is apparently going to hang on a bit longer and remain huge. It too, along with the SRT bretheren (Charger, 300) should be getting the Hellcat paired with the ZF 8-speed or even a 9 speed transmission.

Yeah, but it really is just a name and if they give the Avenger the treatment they've given the charger/300 and make it a RWD with a 6.2 HEMI holy shit that will be one fantastic and fast car.
 
Call it the rolling-cow-pile for all I care - If it's the size of a Dart with a S/C 6.2 hemi it'll be epic - even with four doors.
 
And not everyone who drives a dodge thinks blinging a car is cool. Maybe you just live in a stupid area. Did see a 328i with 26s and rolled fenders today. The guy was white Suck on that.

Actually, I think that the Barracuda name has been dropped and the new car is likely to be another Avenger. SRT with their own badge now could probably get away with cutting two doors and extending the front end for the hellcat, they could probably even use the Barracuda name for it. But that isn't happening for a couple years at least. No way they have Dodge make a mid size car with a front end large enough for a large hemi and a supercharger.

PFFT, its a dodge. The engine will start burning oil within 75k miles and the car will fall apart.

Give us a break please. They stopped using Mitsubishi engines long ago. The Pentastar and HEMI engines are rock solid.
