2013 Steam Summer Sale! DEAD

They're right, but there are 11 days of sale, over 12 days.

July 12 is 'day two', because the second day starts on July 12 - and ends on July 13.
It's 12 days of sales over 288 hours, or 12 days. Each "day" of Steam sales doesn't end until 10AM (ET) the following morning.

Nice! Trine 2 up for CC vote (missed it last time), will definitely grab it this time if it wins.. That Amnesia game doesn't look terribad either

Read what I wrote again, then do your math.

Edit: perhaps we have a different assumption.

I'm assuming July 11 to July 22 has the sale ending at 10AM o July 22 - which may not be how they mean it. You are apparently assuming it means the sale ends at 10AM July 23.

If that's correct, then we'd agree.

I said the exact same thing almost three hours ago, but you chose to ignore it.

Both good.

I've only heard good things about Amnesia.

I clicked on this game excitedly and found out that I already have it. I can't remember when I got it ^_^

You're ignoring the possibility I wasn't reading what you wrote carefully.

I don't blame you, the odds are low.

Welcome to that.

Done it more than once this sale again. Today it was the werewolf game.

Downloading the Euro Truck Sim 2 demo, fuck me lol

EDIT:

There is something about this game, it is like soothing lol. I like it. I can't back up for shit and I drive like I own the road (because seriously who is going to mess with me in a big ass truck? lol) but it is actually pretty cool. Best part, I open up the radio and it has a bunch of european internet radio stations. oh man some crazy ass song I didn't understand but made me lol came up as I am arriving at the city to deliver my cargo. Red light? See no cars coming opposite direction? Cruise on through 😀

I recommend trying out the demo on Steam. I was skeptical as hell going in, but for the $8 I can get this for from my friend I figure why not, I've spent more on worse lol

It'll end on the 23rd. Summer sales always start at 10am on a Thursday and completely end (all deals expire) at 10am on Tuesday.

You'd remember if you'd played it 😉

Ehhh it wasn't that memorable... think I got through the demo and that was it.

Question, how detailed is the worlds in Euro Truck driver? In that you can driver around the cities and see the city outside the main drags/interstates.

If all you did was get through the demo you barely touched it. It sticks with you.

Being able to stream live, actual European radio stations in-game is a nice touch. I remember tuning into a pop music station from the Netherlands, thinking "I wonder what kind of stuff they listen to?" Then I realized it's the exact same shit we have in the US, with a couple of odd exceptions and the DJ talks in Dutch instead of English.

The game isn't to scale, if that's what you're asking. A trip that would take 3 hours in real-life only takes a half-hour to an hour in Euro Truck. As such, the cities are scaled down along with the rest of the map. They're not big. There's maybe a familiar landmark here and there, but they're far from exact replicas of their real-world counterparts.

Holy cow! Van Hellsing takes up 19GB!! 😵

EDIT:

Hmm, now the Steam downloader says 8.5GB unlike the original dialog. That's slightly more believable!

You mean I can't drive an 18-wheeler through the Ponte Vecchio? 😡

The number given to you by the original dialog represents the final amount of space the game consumes on your hard drive. The number you see while downloading is the compressed size. When the download finishes, it decompresses into it's actual size.

And then again, Mount and Blade Warband's Steam page says it is 100MB, yet the download is roughly 1.5GB.

I'd chalk up more than a few strange size listings to simple errors.
