Dare I say that it almost looks better than the 911? I REALLY like this new Boxster look. With the new engines, they are plenty capable too.

Especially the Boxster S. 315hp and 4.8s 0-60. I would still choose a 911 over it, though.

I love 911s, but it would be really hard for me to justify the extra $20K+ over a Boxter S for a hard top and unusable back seat.

I assume the next Cayman is going to look similar to this?

Hmm... it is nice... but if I spend $60,000 on a 300 HP Porsche I wouldn't want to be mistaken for a 100 HP Toyota heh. It looks very close to the MR2 Spyder (the slow last gen year 2000 MR2s, not the crazy 90s turbo models)

If I were going to buy a $60,000 vert, it'd most definitely be an M3 vert. The Porsche name isn't worth this kind of mark-up, especially when the design reeks of Toyota.

No sane person would ever ever mistake this for an MR2.

They both have intake vents, get over it. This Porsche looks amazing, though I was already always a big fan of Boxsters.

I don't understand why people keep saying it looks like the MR2 when the MR2 was modeled after the Boxster of its time.

For $60k and a vert there is a very strong case for a Corvette, ZL1 Camaro or a Mustang Shelby GT500.

The Corvette would have fantastic handling and more power. The pony cars would feel cheap and not handle as well but you cannot really argue with horsepower in the 550+ range.

A lot of car can be bought for $60k.

I find 300hp 3000 ish lbs the equivalent to a 600cc motorcycle. You could get a faster car or a higher displacement faster bike, but at that hp/weight of a car I think thats where you can find out if you are a good driver or not and can start improving times.
