This is a seriously good deal. For a hundred bucks you are getting what is arguably still the best 7" tablet out there. I paid $175 for mine and thought I got a deal at the time. Jump on this folks.

16gb is pretty weak, what it means is storing very little on the tablet and wifiing everything.

Price seems good, maybe very good, but no getting around these being two years old tech.

I bought a second Nook HD+ 32GB, our third Nook, and I am planning on rooting it but I imagine it will never work as well as native support like the Nexus 7.

Hard for me to make up my mind quickly and before rooting the Nook. I have this thread gets a lot more comments soon.

Some Questions;

How much of the 16GB can be used?
What version of android do these upgrade to?
Does the bluetooth support the fit bands?
Has Amazon prime instant video been sorted out?

Did they ever fix the grounding issues? Like a huge portion of 2013 N7 owners, mine often requires it to be plugged in or me touching the back of it in order for the screen to register touch input. If it's sitting on the desk, bed, etc. and it's not plugged in/being held, then it's like the screen is locked up.

Also, the power button and volume buttons intermittently stop working. A reboot sometimes fixes this but it's pain in the ass considering theres no way to reboot the damn thing if the power button stops working!!!!

My spouse and I both use this tablet, and have never had any problems with the touchscreen or needed to ground it. All of the Google flagship Nexus product lack SD card slots, which I admit may be limitation for some people.

The screen on this is fantastic - retina-class resolution, still the brightest out there and with Gorilla Glass you don't have to worry much about scratches. I use mine outdoors a lot, and so put on an Armor Tech anti-reflective film because the screen is glossy.

Googled some, these apparently update automatically to 6.something, only limit is the 16GB and that doesn't seem that harsh if you adopt a keep very little on it and remove the junk attitude.

N41 free shipping, but $8 Calif tax. Thanks OP

Ditto lol. I guess the $10 we saved can go towards a case of our choice.

This is my preferred case for the Nexus 2013. It attaches firmly and has the magnetic sleep/wake function built-in. I've got black on my 32GB and Red on my mom's 16GB and they both look very nice:

$10 for black, $11 for red, purple, or light blue, plus shipping (or with free Prime shipping).

Thanks, I'll keep it in mind. I'm not sure if I'll go with it something with a little more protection. I have a heavy duty case on my first gen. but it adds a bunch of weight :(.

The only potential downside I see is it's only 16GB with no sd card support.

Yes, and my only regret is that I didn't pop for the 32GB version when I bought it. Still, I've managed to live within the 16GB storage limitation with no serious angst. I do, however, miss the SD card slot, but it wasn't a deal killer.

An sd slot would put this tablet over the top. I guess we could always use a usb stick. I plan to use the N7 for apps only and use the $10 Moto E as an mp3 player because it can take a 32GB sd card.

Still use my 16GB model almost every day.

Same here. I wonder if the new 6.0 is better than the 5.0 was? I installed 5.0 shortly after launch and my tablet became a stuttery mess (sluggish even just in the menus, let alone games, etc). Reverted back to 4.4.4 and it was all good again. Not even touching system updates again on this tablet...
