I would much rather own a modern used Benz than a used BMW.
The MB E-Class is one of the most reliable models they have. They sell a boatload of E's in SoCal. A 2-3 year old E400 will most likely be my new car in 2 years.
They have done a ton better since they ditched Chrysler. From my research they're a bit streaky. Some cars are super reliable. A few are not. Their bread and butter C and E classes tend to be some of the better ones. Probably worth going onto mbworld.org and checking out that specific engine though.
interior is nice and quiet. very smooth ride. power is awesome. has a sport button to make the suspension stiffer and make throttle response more aggressive. the car handled suprisingly flat, i was expecting boat handling.
My Mom-In-Law owned 2 E-Class sedans and they were both good cars. She had one of them for almost 10 years and the other for 5 years before she passed away in April. RIP :'(
Nice sled brainhulk. I've been thinking of getting one of those but in a convertible in the next year or two.
We just sold one a few months back. I would have taken it but I drive too many miles for a car like that to make sense as a daily driver and we really don't need 3 cars anyway.
