im sure the engine is amazing, but it doesnt *look* like it should replace the 599, which is nothing short of automotive art

The 599 was ugly except the GTO version. This is slightly better looking, but still pretty ugly. It does have a more than slight resemblance to a Corvette. Maybe Ferrari stole the plans for the C7.

wouldn't it replace the 612?

The FF replaced the 612.

I like it. The last couple of FR Ferrari's have been disappointing styling wise, I'm really liking this one. They've been nailing the mid engine cars but the front engines have been missing the mark, they are coming back on target it looks like.

my first impression was that it carried a lot of FF design language, but i can definitely see why someone would say corvette. the similarities are there.

Until you open the doors anyway. :whiste:

It's not as though Ferrari have never built a car with this layout before.

As others have said, I'm sure its an awesome car, but the design doesn't look like a Ferrari to me, it looks like a 60k sports car.

I like it. I wonder if it will have the AWD system from the FF.

Also, the Corvette has been copying the basic shape of the Ferrari Daytona since the early 80's.

Since I can't afford one, it doesn't really matter if it looks like a Corvette or some other $50k car. Actually it reminds me of the $20k Scion/Subaru coming out.
